Every adventure has an ending!
After achieving my dream of traveling to Japan and visiting the beautiful country of Taiwan, it is time to go back to Madrid. In this post I have collected some pics from the trip back home.
The starting point is Narita Airport in Tokyo. We arrived about 3 hours before our flight, so we had enough time for leaving our baggage, walking by the airport and going into all the controls ^^.
Some pics I took at Narita Airport terminal 2.
I don't know why, but usually new car models are showcased at airports.
Our first flight was Tokyo to Taipei, where we left part of our luggage, with the airline Cathay Pacific. It is an airline from Hong Kong.
Time to go into the never ending airport checks: security checks, passport checks...
Boeing 777 from Cathay Pacific ready for taking us into Taipei! The flight time from Tokyo to Taipei is about 3:30h to 4h.
Waiting at the boarding gate with many Japanese tourists that were about to visit Taipei. Japanese people travel a lot around the world!
Last vending machine I found before leaving Japan: ice-cream vending machine!
Green tea Häagen-Dazs ice-cream ^^.
Playing with the iPad while all the baggage is placed on the airplane hold.
And the moment came, we leave Japan!
I took some pics during the flight from Tokyo to Taipei.
This Boeing 777 from Cathay Pacific is a very comfortable plane. All the seats have a small screen where you can check the flight duration, track the route map, watch movies, listen to music and play video games.
Movies available were grouped into these categories:
- Chinese movies
- Japanese movies
- Korean movies
- Movies from other countries
This details made me learn that, despite one thinks his own country is important, there are parts of the world where this importance gets lowered.
Some pics of the beautiful clouds from the plane.
Sunset from a plane is a gorgeous view!
After landing in Taipei and spending a night there, the next step was to take two more flights to Madrid. The trip from Taipei to Madrid takes about 17 hours, minimum.
I took this picture upon arriving Beijing Airport, the biggest airport in the world, located in the north of China.
We did the trip from Taipei to Madrid with Air China International, using two Airbus 340. These planes are not as modern as the Cathay Pacific planes but they are also ok. This trip also includes a two hour stop at Beijing where we had to transfer to another plane.
Just before taking our flight from Beijing to Madrid which takes 12 hours. We took off from Beijing at midnight and landed in Madrid at 5:00h. There are 7 hours of time difference. When one comes back from Asia to Europe, waking up in the morning is very easy, but staying awake during the evening is not ^^"...
And last picture at Beijing Airport before boarding our Air China International flight back to Madrid.
Without any doubts, this have been an unforgettable travel for me. Thank you very much for having followed my adventures in Asia and I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.
